Another Awesome Weekend!

As much as I would like to avoid sports related post after another, I can't help it! This is an 'anything goes' blog anyways so it would be a crime not posting what I REALLY feel like posting right now.

Did you see UFC 127....
What the heck? DRAW?! Oh well, for some reason I wanted Fitch to win but more interested seeing Penn vs. GSP, lol, but Fitch vs. GSP is not so bad either. Whydahell am I talking about GSP vs. Fitch/Penn now?? there's still GSP vs. Shields on 129...I'm sooo gonna watch that ^_^

Classic fight between Bisping and Rivera. I know UFC has been a place where sportmanship is displayed between people beating the crap out of each other but I must say, its kinda better if things get a little personal. Fighters are more aggressive, don't you think? Bisping, you jerk! I bet you wouldn't be so 'sorry' if you didn't see D.White complaining about your disgusting spit.

Congratulations Anna 'The Hurricane' Julaton successfully defending her WBO Superbantamweight belt against Mexican-American Franchesca Alcanter.

With training under Mr. Freddie Roach himself, Ana ended 12 rounds of boxing with a unanimous win. Would be sweeter if it was KO though but nevertheless..The Hurricane indeed has returned! Go Pinay!!! ^_^

Oh, last Monday was WWE Eliminition Chamber special which I will not talk about because I'm lazy just check out what happened here.

I'm just glad John Morrison is there fighting the big guys already. Yes. I am now officially a John Morrison fan:P

Time to wrap this post up. All these fighting sports make me want to bash somebody's face, RAWRRR!!!!!

AWESOME RANDOM WEEKEND!!!

It is an awesome weekend in sports in deed, head started with, what else, the NBA yesterday kicking off the All Star Weekend ...
...with Roockies vs. Sophomore, as usual. TODAY, are the 'fun' parts...the 3point shoot out (boohoo! Rey Allen lost :-( ), the celebrity game (man, I thought Pacquiao's playing...that'd be WICKED!!), and my personal favorite, the SLAMDUNK competition. I like it that they give points for presentation now, because c'mon...there's a limit to what human body can do so every year there's always a chance seeing old tricks reenacted. Anyways, see the highlights here.

Next is boxing and its Mexico vs. Philippines again brought to us by Fernando Montiel vs. Nonito 'the Filipino Flash' Donaire.

Of course WE won!! Yey!! 2 rounds, baby!! 'Pacquiao vs. Hatton' style. Trust me, you GOT to see this.

Then I also just saw Walt Disney's Tangled

and it was GREAT! I love it!!! It's nice to see Disney going back to the 'Princess League' then giving it a twist (The Princess and the Frog sucked though). Really there's nothing bad to say about this film. It's hilarious and sweet. Perfect movie date for the family or ANYBODY. I super enjoyed every moment of it. Highly recommended.

Pop Princess Britney Spears FINALLY released the video for 'Hold It Against Me' which is not so awesome given the hype sorrounding it, you know.. teaserS and all. Similar to Lady Gaga's Born This Way, too much hype but nothing compared to her previous music...smart lyrics though, but that's nothing new to Gaga ("don't be a drag just be a queen" ^_^) :) so back to Britney's 'HIAM' video...WTF with all the adverts?!? her perfume, Make Up Forever, Sony....

That's it. Hope your weekend was AWESOME as well :)

Latest PigOut: OMAKASE

that doll was enough to get me in =^.^=

Hello my fellow pigs in the pen today I am writting about the newest Jap resto on my list...OMAKASE :)

nom nom nom!

Omakase Soup

- nothing to say. I was not feeling this so I let boyfie finish this all by himself:P He said it's OK but he's really not that hard to please :P

Sukiyaki

-Sukiyaki's my 'measurement' when it comes to Japanese food so I make sure to order this if I am in a certain Jap resto for the first time. And I'm glad Omakase left me with a good impression with this one. Not too sweet, not to salty...perfect! Meat and veggie OVERLOAD!! but the funny thing is, I like my Sukiyaki with more noodles :P

Cheesy Beef Maki

- OK, I totally made that name up:P I can't remember but it's got to be something like that. Cheese wrapped in thin beef slices and coated in some form of batter. Just OK.

We did order for tempuras (another "measurement") but I was not able to take a picture of it but here's the proof.... :P

Normal. Not the best..but definitely not the worst :P

....but what I did like about Omakase was the place itself :) It's fluffy pink chairs makes it look more like a girl's bedroom than a dinning place :P

boyfie making goofy face:P I don't know that heartface lady but she's totally looking at the camera she might mind it if she happen's to come accross this post so might as well cover her up :P

Gaaahhh! And those dolls again!!! That's my idea!! I've been wanting to 'mount' my dolls on the walll of my room that way!!!

And this wall :) Gonna rip this off for my baby girl's nursery (in the future...no plans of havin a baby yet :P)

The Verdict: 4 Stars
  • 5 stars for the place alone
  • very reasonable price
  • It's short of 1 star because I really can't tell if this is 'authentic' Jap food (I guess not) but that doesn't mean it's not good.
Will I revisit?: Yes. I heard from the table accross that the "American Maki" something is delicious...I gotta try that! :P

You can find Omakase at:
  • Ayala Alabang
  • Ayala Triangle Gardens
  • Greenhills Shopping Center
  • IL Terrazzo Mall
  • Libis
**I was not paid by Omakase or anybody to do this review

***
OK. This has nothing to with Omakase...but look at how cuuuutee these pens are!!! =^.^= Bought this at Clippers last week. Omakase should get these and give it away for Christmas or something=^.^=

***

DETOUR: Congrats to Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista for winning against Mexico's Alejandro Barrera. Hope this will put you back to the 'champions' league :P

Inception

So am I or am I not the only person here who watched this just recently?? :D Mine's so recent I just saw this yesterday...LAST FULL SHOW haha!! But that's fine, since everybody has seen this already there's no need for me to go in details and go straight the IMO instead, hehe ;)

Brilliant film. I'm a sucker for films that f*cks my mind :) No surprise there, it's a Christopher Nolan film after all. I'm not a Leo de Caprio fan but I got to say, he was amazing. Ellen Page was lifeless as usual and that Arthur guy...didn't he star on those dorky films from years back?? whatever, he's so in the right track right now, better keep it up :) At first, I never really thought I'd like it because I thought it's gonna be MATRIX, but after watching the verdict was Inception, for me, is more powerful. Why? because we all have subconscious minds and we all dream while 'Matrix' isn't here yet. So what do you think?? how do you know this isn't just a dream?? ;)

And earlier yesterday, I also watched the Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz's rematch. Err...nothing exciting there :P JMM is definitely one of my fave boxers because he's really intelligent and technical but yesterday, there wasn't much BOOM from El Dinamita, I guess age and drinking his own peepee has caught up on him, hehe :P

Cotto vs. Foreman

just a quickie post on this before i hit the sacks ;)

Its a truly sad loss for Yuri Foreman. I wanted him to win because he seems like a nice guy and came from a poor family. Plus it would be sad to stain that record of his. On the other hand, it would be sad too if Cotto lost because losing to our Nation's Pride, Manny Pacquiao, this fight is like a deciding point on his boxing career.

anyways, I wouldn't dwell much on what happened during the match but its definitely one of, if not the most bizarre fight I've seen. Throwing the Towel - ref not acknowledging - fight continued - only to be stopped again...too bad no vid on Youtube available yet so I can't show you what I'm talking about.

So in the end Cotto won but it must have sucked for him. Who would take pride in winning over an injured opponent. I just hope Yuri Foreman would recover fast and get back to the ring asap:) as for Miguel Cotto...............Pacman vs. Cotto part 2??? why not?! :)

my baby's back :)

Not the boyfie (i wish). I got my car back from the repair shop all spick and span after i crashed it last week :( the repair expenses did set me back in the budget area so yeah, i'll never beat the red light again...everr....

Today was also a sports filled day :) Cavaliers beating the Celtics 101 to 93 leading the series 1-0. I'm a big Celtics fan but i also like LeBron James so if the Cavs will indeed advance to the next series then I guess that wouldn't be so bad...at least for me :) besides Celtics has like what?? 15? 17?? championships....so let's give this one to the younger guys ;)

Here are some game highlights from youtube :)

On boxing, the much anticipated Mayweather - Mosley fight, as expected, was a major snoozefest. the only good thing i, and the rest of the boxing world, am hoping to come out of this was Mayweather having a major confidence boost to fight Pacquiao....YAHA!!!!

I did think of looking for highlights on youtube but changed my mind right away cause believe me, there weren't any :P

Pinoy Boxing Champ (not Pacman)

Congratulations to Drian "Gintong Kamao" Francisco for successfully defending his WBA Superflyweight belt against Ricardo Nunez of Panama via way of KO on the 5th round :) Could he be the next Pacman?? what do you think F. Roach?? :)

More from the world of sports. NBA Playoffs 2010 just started, aren't you excited??!! :D And what better way of opening than Celtics winning it against the Heat!! YAHA!!!! GO! GO! GO! Celtics Season 2010 Champions!! Yeah baby!!!!

**It's All Mooncake do not own any of the photos used
